Flowing body design

With its distinctive L finesse design, the IS 350 looks fast standing still. The front bumper and grille integrate cleanly with the fog lights, creating a bold, confident appearance. The flowing, dramatic design also delivers impressive aerodynamics, making for low drag and a quiet cabin. Stylish alloy wheels with low-profile tyres round-out its sleek styling by providing precise handling and superior cornering stability.

Smart Key Card with push button start

The IS 350 comes with a Smart Key, which allows you to lock and unlock the door while the key remains in your pocket or handbag. The Sports Luxury model comes with an additional hands-free Smart Key Card, which tucks neatly into your wallet or pocket. When the proximity sensor detects the presence of your uniquely-coded Smart Key or Smart Key Card, the door unlocks as soon as you touch the handle.

Self-dimming mirrors

The exterior mirrors on IS 350 models feature turn indicators with a sleek, aerodynamic look that also reduces wind noise. F Sport and Sports Luxury models feature Electro-Chromatic mirrors that automatically dim when they detect excessive light, such as the glare of headlights from following vehicles, which helps prevent driver fatigue.

Powerful front and rear lighting

The powerful High-Intensity Discharge headlamps on all IS 350 models give you greater night vision. The rear tail lights incorporate sophisticated LED lamps that illuminate faster than conventional tail lamps so when you apply the brakes, drivers behind you are alerted sooner.

Interior

Heated, leather-accented front seats

On cool days, heated front seats keep you warm. The front seats in the Sports Luxury model are also ventilated to keep you cool in warmer weather. Ten-way power adjustments make it easy to tailor your seat settings to your preferred posture, while the driver's memory function in the F Sport and Sports Luxury grades allow you to recall your preferred seat, exterior mirror and steering column positions at the touch of a button.

Satellite navigation and touchscreen control

The prime information resource in the IS 350 is the seven inch LCD touchscreen located in the centre console. All grades include a Satellite Navigation system1, which guides you efficiently to your destination with voice prompts and points of interest. In addition, whenever reverse gear is engaged, images from the Rear View Camera2 are displayed on the LCD screen. Parking reference lines overlay the Rear View Camera footage to help guide you safely into place.

Mark Levinson surround sound

World renowned audio technology specialist Mark Levinson partnered with Lexus to design an audio system for the IS 350 F Sport and Sports Luxury which envelops you in perfectly balanced, luxurious sound. The audio system comes as standard with 14 speakers and a six disc DVD/CD changer. Audio controls are conveniently located on the steering wheel, while USB and AUX connectors allow you to play audio from flash memory drives and control your iPod®3 using the LCD screen.4 The IS 350 Prestige model includes a premium13 speaker audio system with a six disc CD changer.

Bluetooth™ mobile connectivity

The steering wheel incorporates controls for the audio, Bluetooth™ systems, cruise control, Multi Information Display and mobile phone.5 Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity allows for hands-free communication and enables you to make phone calls using a combination of steering wheel controls and voice activated prompts. You can also load and display the phone address book with your contacts on the LCD screen.

Inspired by the high-performance world of racing, the IS 350 is driven by a muscular 3.5 litre V6 engine that delivers power when you need it. The IS 350's engine pumps out 233kWs of power at 6,400rpm, offering more horsepower than any other car in its class. The quick, 6-speed Super ECT transmission responds as soon as you touch the accelerator, making this car a thrill to drive.

Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (Dual VVT-i)

Lexus's Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (Dual VVT-i) for better engine performance, fuel efficiency and lower emissions.6 Dual VVT-i lowers exhaust back-pressure at high engine speeds while reducing noise in the cabin at low speeds.

Sequential automatic transmission with paddle shifters

Gear control is at your fingertips with a six speed sequential automatic transmission and paddle shifters mounted directly on the steering column. Whether you're in normal or sequential shifting mode, you can select all six gears without taking your hands off the wheel.

Transmission that knows your style

Artificial Intelligence Shift Control intuitively anticipates and selects the best gear to suit the driver's style and thinks ahead to accommodate changes in driving conditions. On hills the IS 350 holds the right gear for longer to provide superior climbing power and avoid annoying, unnecessary downshifts. On steep descents it enhances engine braking by holding a lower gear, giving you greater control.

Intelligent suspension systems

The IS 350 is ready to conquer the road with front double-wishbone and rear multi-link suspension to enhance stability, responsiveness and handling. The IS 350 F Sport includes recalibrated Sports suspension for additional handling and steering stability.

Electric Power Steering

Unlike conventional power steering, the power steering on the IS 350 uses electric energy. Energy is consumed only when you turn the wheel, which adds to the vehicle's overall fuel economy. IS 350 F Sport models also feature race-inspired IS F enhancements, like Electric Power Steering that has been finely tuned for precise handling to deliver a genuine auto-racing feel.

Safety

Eight SRS airbags

The IS 350 has safety covered. All models come standard with 8 SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) airbags, which lessen the impact of a collision and provide greater peace of mind. Both the driver and front passengers have dual stage front airbags, front seat side airbags and knee airbags to protect lower limbs.

Advanced safety systems management

The IS 350 includes Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM), a breakthrough system from Lexus which provides greater stability in difficult driving conditions and improved traction on slippery corners. VDIM integrates the comprehensive package of safety technologies in the IS 350, which includes the Anti-lock Braking System, Brake Assist, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Traction Control and Vehicle Stability Control.

Pre-collision safety

IS 350 Sports Luxury model also features the Lexus Pre-Collision safety System (PCS), which anticipates and avoids collisions, and helps reduce injury or damage if an impact does occur. The PCS is assisted by a radar sensor embedded in the front grille which monitors the vehicle's distance from objects ahead. If the PCS determines a collision is likely, it displays a visual warning and sounds an alarm and can automatically retract the driver and front passenger seatbelts as a precautionary measure.7

Active Cruise Control

In addition to conventional cruise control, the IS 350 Sports Luxury model features a vehicle-to-vehicle distance monitoring technology known as Active Cruise Control (ACC).8 Just enter your preferred cruising speed using the touch controls on the steering wheel and the IS 350 maintains this speed until the radar detects another vehicle in your path. ACC then reduces your speed accordingly, automatically applying the brakes if needed.
