Lexus offers the ultimate in intelligent luxury family motoring for 2025 Lexus Melbourne Cup Pin & Win promotion
The ultimate in Lexus luxury family motoring and intelligent Plug-in-Hybrid performance is the major prize in the Victoria Racing Club's (VRC) annual Pin & Win charity fundraiser, with all proceeds this year once again supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania.
The RX 450h+ Sports Luxury, valued at $135,578 including on road costs1, is the lifestyle brand’s flagship plug-in hybrid luxury vehicle.
The spacious five-seat luxury SUV offers up to 85km2 of electric-only driving when EV mode is activated – perfect for daily commutes around town – with zero CO2 tailpipe emissions.
If on longer trips such as weekends away the battery’s charge get low, the impressive RX 450h+ Sports Luxury defaults to driving like a regular hybrid with the petrol engine providing most of the power, eliminating the need to recharge.
The VRC’s Pin & Win promotion has raised over $9 million since its inception in 1995 through the sale of Lexus Melbourne Cup souvenir pins, including a record $660,000 in 2024.
This year the total is expected to surpass $10 million, with sufficient funds to cover 4,000 nights of free 'home away from home' accommodation for families across Victoria and Tasmania while their seriously ill and injured children undergo life-saving treatment.
2025 marks the 17th consecutive year of Lexus Australia proudly supporting the Pin & Win promotion.
Lexus Australia Chief Executive John Pappas said supporting Pin & Win is an integral part of its partnership with the VRC, this year marking the luxury lifestyle brand’s 23rd as official automotive partner, including the eighth as principal partner with naming rights to the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
“It’s only right that the huge public interest in the Lexus Melbourne Cup be leveraged to raise funds for outstanding charities such as Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria and Tasmania, which provide critical support to families needing it the most,” Mr Pappas said.
“We expect an aspirational luxury family vehicle of significant value such as the Lexus RX 450h+ Sports Luxury will help maximise funds raised on a spotlight occasion such as the Lexus Melbourne Cup.”
Pin & Win lapel pins will be available for purchase online, at Flemington Racecourse during race days and at a number of events throughout the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Pins are $10 for the Lexus Melbourne Cup pins and $15 for the diamante horseshoes.
