LEXUS OF CHATSWOODSUSTAINABILITY

At Lexus, “sustainability” isn’t some borrowed buzzword, it's a way of life.

It’s not just part of a focus on developing electrified cars that continue the rich Lexus legacy of superior comfort, dynamic performance and the latest technology, but an aim to transform the entire company by moving forward in a planet-friendly direction.

That’s why Lexus has pledged to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, a crucial process that takes into account the entire lifecycle of our models, from manufacturing materials all the way to the disposal and recycling of retired vehicles.

The ‘Lexus Electrified’ vision begins with 10 new electrified vehicles set to arrive by 2025, by which time there will be electric variants offered on all Lexus models.

A focus on sustainable practices also stretches to our world-class showrooms, with the new, state-of-the-art Lexus of Chatswood incorporating a number of green initiatives to stay on the cutting edge of clean technology.

It begins with an 86kW solar-panel system that has been installed on the building to provide AC power on site, as well as cater to the future instalment of DC fast chargers that will be provided to Lexus customers to charge their electric vehicles.

Inspired by Japanese architecture - and with an eye toward creating the perfect balance of luxury, comfort and convenience - Lexus of Chatswood is awash in soft, natural lighting thanks to 488 square-metres of glass, a feature that also highlights the stunning Japanese gardens on site.

The future may be electric, but a welcoming, sustainable and environmentally friendly hub for our valued customers is already here in the form of the new, greener and cleaner Lexus of Chatswood.
